The Time for Environmental Action is NOW!

Since 1972, EFM has empowered 2,000+ environmental leaders. In designing this year’s program, we have drawn inspiration from ‘Braiding Sweetgrass’ by Robin Wall Kimmerer:

"Each person, human or no, is bound to every other in a reciprocal relationship. Just as all beings have a duty to me, I have a duty to them. If an animal gives its life to feed me, I am in turn bound to support its life. If I receive a stream's gift of pure water, then I am responsible for returning a gift in kind. An integral part of a human's education is to know those duties and how to perform them...Even a wounded world is feeding us. Even a wounded world holds us, giving us moments of wonder and joy."

Forum 2023 is titled The Reciprocity of Earth's Living Systems. It acknowledges the need for re-establishing a productive balance among our planet. It's for people who seek to nurture their awareness and expand their perspective to be impactful environmental advocates.

Forum 2023 will include virtual presentations by prominent environmental scientists, writers, and advocates. We will offer experiential seminars as well as our popular in-person field trips. This unique series will change your view of the natural world and how you relate to it.
